HOW IT STARTED

"Will you please turn my bar into a church?"

Kathy and Carl have operated as owners of "KC's Bar & Grill" in the Fair Park, Dallas community for the last 30 years  They've had people from all walks of life enter their doors. Yet, nothing could have prepared them for a young Bible College student, Nate Smith, to walk in on a Friday night and ask how he could pray for them.

After months of walking the streets and praying over Kathy and Carl, Pastor Nate had a dream from God to host a Thankgsiving feast. Kathy offered her bar as the meeting place. November of 2019 the Gospel was preached in a bar to over 50 people, nine of whom surrendered their life to Christ. The following year, around 100 community members showed up and thirteen of them placed their faith in Jesus as their Savior. What God was doing in Fair Park was undeniable. It was at this point Kathy asked the question, "Will you please turn my bar into a church?"

HOW IT'S GOING

With the incredible support of Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, TX, we began having Sunday afternoon worship services at KC's Bar & Grill. In March of 2023, Pastor Nate, his wife Rebecca, and the whole team, celebrated two years of meeting as a campus of Trinity Church and serving the community of Fair Park alongside Kathy and Carl.
